Personal Introduction:

Qiaoqin Wan studies the early screening and early intervention of cognitive impairment, particularly interdisciplinary and web-based research. In addition to an interest in cognitive health, she is interested in exploring mechanism and promotion strategy between physical activity and health among older population. Her health policy work focuses on models of gerontology care, such as long-term care service and support.

Dr. Wan is currently leading a team on several projects, including the National Key R&D Program of China, Natural Science Foundation of China, and Beijing Municipal Natural Science Foundation, etc. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles on cognitive impairment, physical activity& health. Her research goal is to shape policies and practices to improve older population’s health and well-being.

Dr. Wan currently serves as Deputy Director of the Aged Care Intelligence & Innovation Research Institute, Peking University. She also practices as director of research management & international collaboration office and deputy director of Geriatric Care & Rehabilitation Division. In addition to her faculty role in School of Nursing, Peking University, Dr. Wan is also a member of Geriatric Health Standards Committee of National Health Commission.

Research Areas:

Gerontology care and multidisciplinary research, specially web-based prevention and management of cognitive impairment to improve older adults’ intrinsic capacity and make them more independent; exercise behavior promotion and dose-effect relationship, and mechanism of exercise on health effect; eye-motion track, virtual reality technique, AI technique application to solve health-related problems among older adults.
